An original 3D still life painting by the British artist Elizabeth M Gould. Titled Fruit Cell and painted acrylic on board (26 x 26 x 2cm) with carved wooden relief the picture is something of a colourful enigma in the style of Peter Blake.
The lemon, pear and orange are literally separated by the sharp 3D diagonals of dismembered picture frames, almost like a Joseph Cornell picture painted in Ladybird book colours.
